The thirty-eighth annual Page Valley Agricultural and Industrial Fair readies for national and local entertainers, midway rides, livestock shows, tractor-truck pulls, food and games, the week of Aug. 18-25. S
Events begin Saturday, Aug. 18, with the baby and beauty contests. The contest will begin at 1 p.m. for babies and 7 p.m. for beauty contestants 16-21. Sunday will feature the open horse show at 1 p.m. The Anchorman, a gospel group, will be featured at 4 p.m. Admission for Sunday only, will be half price.
“Orion” and band will perform at 7 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20. Spotlighting on Monday will be Billy “Crash” Craddock, back (from his self-imposed hiatus with his “Back on Track” recording. Craddock is a native of Greensboro, N.C. He got his nickname “Crash” from being the smallest player on his high school football team. His number one singles include “Rub It In,” “Ruby Baby,” “Knock Three Times,” “Broken Down in Tiny Pieces” and “Dream Lover.” His performance will he held at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
