All across our land, hundreds of thousands of young people filled with excitement and apprehension are once again headed “back to school” sporting colorful backpacks crammed with sharpened pencils and spiral notebooks.
Ahead of them is a year filled with new adventures and unforeseen challenges. Our sons and daughters will learn and they will grow. They will have to cope with difficult situations and make intelligent decisions, often complicated by peer pressure.
As we worship God this week, may we pray for wisdom and strength for our children and for ourselves, as they look to us for advice and reassurance in the coming school year.
