Castleton Volunteer Fire and Rescue companies will be reopening bingo activities on Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. Opening night will include special games and prizes. Regular bingo will be held every Saturday night thereafter with a jackpot of up to $500.

Thursday, Sept. 20, will be “Circus Day” in Flint Hill with special arrangements being handled by Robert Brothers Circus. Proceeds from the advance ticket sales will be used for the ongoing expenses of the fire department. The event will include clowns, animals, line music, and fun for everyone. A community wide sale will be sponsored prior to “Circus Day.”

TourThe Inn Sept. 18
The Inn at Little Washington will open its ten sumptuous guest rooms to the public for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 18 as part of a benefit tour sponored by the Episcopal Churchwomen of Bromfield Parish. Designed by reknowned English decorator Joyce Evans, and featuring the faux bois of fifth-generation grainer Malcolm Robson, The Inn’s rooms have won accolades from designers and travel writers alike since they opened five years ago. The tour will be followed by tea in The Inn’s garden, served by members of Trinity Episcopal Church. Tickets are $10, available in advance, and all proceeds will benefit the Episcopal Churchwomen of Bromfield Parish.
