Mr. Taylor was selected after a thorough recruitment and selection process during which 361 intitial inquiries were received and 272 applicants returned a center application form, resume and cover letter to apply for the position.
Rappahannock- Rapidan Community Services Board Chairman William Barr appointed a search committee to fill the vacancy following the death of CSC Executive Director Jo Gorman, in January of this year. The search committee included Nancy Price, Fred Seward, Mary Grist, Carolyn Harry, Jennings Hobson III, Jim Lamar, Frances Thornton, CSC Board Members; and Caruso Brown, Directop^of Finance and Administrative Services for Region 10 Community Services Board in Charlottesville.
Mr. Taylor received the unanimous endorsement of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board of Directors. He will assume his responsibilities as executive director on Oct. 1.
