in the children and their projects. Many deserve to be thanked for the encouragement they have provided the children.

This year I would like to give a special thanks to two individuals from Rappahannock who came to the farm show sale prepared not only to spend money but also to spencbtime with the child who worked on the project. Eileen Day of Eileen Day Realty and John Childress of Rappahannock Tractor both came to thev sale prepared to purchase an animal.

They also took time to talk with my child about the project, showing an interest in what had gone into the finished product. They talked some about marketing techniques which will certainly be a key factor our youngsters must address in any future market economy.

My child felt he was treated as an equal in this exchange, which did wonders for his self esteem. As a parent I appreciate the lessons my son learned from these people and the examples they set for him. Thank you.
