The music scene at Pizza Inn in Warrenton is getting Outtahand. For those patronizing the Warrenton Pizza Inn, it’s likely that they have heard the vintage and original rock tunes of house band, Lancelot and the Outtahand Band, on a Friday or Saturday evening.
Lancelot Albaugh, a longtime area resident who has played in these parts for about 20 years, leads the popular group.
“We have a lot of chemistry,” said Albaugh, 37, who has sung as well as played acoustic to electric guitar in several local bands in the past. “We are like a family.”
The band is comprised of Kevin Culbertson on drums, Tim Brown on bass, Carol Richardson as backup vocalist and Sam Henze on lead guitar. Wayne Piper serves as soundman and Daniel Bright helps on the road.
The group, explained Albaugh, plays mainly ’60s and ’70s music like Mellencamp, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, The Doors, Steppenwolf, “as well as we mix in our own originals.”
“[The band] hopes to branch out, playing benefits for local organizations. I’d like to give something back to the community,” said the Fauquier High School graduate.
Though the band plays at Pizza Inn several times a month, sharing weekend dates with other local groups, they also makes appearances at Sportsbreak in Manassas,
