• Wilson Burke, owner of the Flint Hill Store, reported to the Sheriffs Office that two flats of flowers and six hanging baskets were stolen from the front porch of the
store during the night of May 6-7.
• Two men were arrested for the assault of the other following a fight
in Washington, Va. Saturday night, said the sheriff. Charles Stringfellow,
29, of West Virginia, and Terry
DeWayne Brown, 26, of Richardsville, both suffered cuts to the head during a fight at a residence in Washington.
Both were examined by doctors—Brown was taken by ambulance to Culpeper Hospital.
They were both charged with misdemeanor assault.
• Robert Keel, 20, of Flint Hill, was charged with reckless driving
by Trooper M.E. Baker after an accident in Old Hollow at 6:15 p.m.
May 10, said Sgt. G. A. Morris of the State Police.
Keel was southbound on Route
612, eight-tenths of a mile north of U.S. 211-522, when he ran off the left side of the road and hit several trees.
The driver was injured. Keel’s 1974 Chevy pickup sustained minor damages.
