flowers due to the her work in early spring in the vineyards, the spring blooms failure to last except for short periods of time, and the unpredictable spring weather in this area, thus making the production a financial gamble.
“Most of my perennial beds began to develop in early June and continue to give me flowers until the first frost,” she said, explaining when arrangements require spring blooms she orders from distributors in Richmond and Pennsylvania.
Her training in production is not a logs, either, as Mrs. Brune said she will probally use her greenhouse education to begin flowers she is unable to find and to start many of her own seeds.
“When I do an arrangement, I am creating a garden," she said with smile adding when the job no longer is fun, she will cease her work there.
Cost for flowers depends on the season, flowers requested and time allowed for find required by arrangments.
Weddings and larger occasions can require six to eight hours of work and should be booked a month in advance.
She does not do funerals but can provide flowers for memorial services.
