Workshop offered
A workshop entitled “From Recipe to Reality” will be offered to consumers who want to produce and package food for sale. The workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville. The one-day workshop is co-sponsored by Virginia Tech Department of Food Science and Technology and Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. This workshop is intended to provide basic instruction in food safety, food processing, food packaging and Virginia food law. Registration which is $20 is due May 26.
