We are pleased to announce that the Boston Beauty and Hair Salon, owned and operated by Robin Hof(hum, is now open for business.

The shop is closed Sunday and Mondays. Tuesday hours are 9 a.m.7 p.m. and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Mrs. C.D. Marshall of Front Royal was a Thursday overnight guest of her sister, Hazel Hawkins, and visited her brother Reid. Saturday overnight guests of Mrs. Hawkins were Sharon Sims and daughter Amanda. On Sunday they toured Skyline Drive.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Butler and Jean Gibbs entertained their mother, Mrs. George Butler, at the Culpeper Country Club Restaurant on Sunday and in the afternoon returned to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Thornhill for homemade ice cream and cake.

Gail Filyo of California, Md. spent Mother’s Day here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Wood at Dun-Loo kin Farm. Mrs. Wood was also thrilled to receive beautiful flowers from her great-grandson Stephen Christopher Filyo in Roselle, 111.

Melanie Kopjanski entertained with a luncheon on Tuesday honoring Elizabeth Deane on her birthday. Others enjoying the occassion were Mrs. George Butler, Mrs. Frank Duncan, Mrs. Bill Gibbs, Mrs. Buddy Thornhill, Mrs. Edmond Burke, Mrs. Tom Winkler, Mrs. Kenny Deal, Mrs. Van Logas, Julia Johnston and Jean Dempsey.

Rev. Phillip Duncan of Ohio visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan, during the Mother’s Day weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier, Michele, Michael and Christopher were Mother’s Day luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade in Culpeper and were joined by Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville and Harold Frazier of Culpeper.

Sympathy is extended to the Fincham and Cave families upon the passing of Robert Fincham who died at the Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville on Sunday.
