Cheryl Alexander’s third grade class is very excited to have just completed its Russian pen-pal project. On Friday, May 7 they finished the booklets the Russian children sent them to fill out. They were delivered in person by a local resident, saving them the three-week delay that mail to Russia normally takes.
The Russian children had sent booklets with pictures of their families, areas of interest in their city, their pets and they illustrated the covers with their own artwork. There is lots of talent among those school children.
Our American students had to answer questions asked by the Russians and write about similar experiences they’ve had, comparisons about their families, lifestyles, likes and dislikes.
