Though their covers of rock tunes are popular with the crowd, so are their original tunes, written by Henze, Brown and Albaugh. “We like people to listen to the music as well as dance to it,” said Albaugh, an Amissville resident.
And, it is obvious that writing is a passion, and a priority. While Albaugh was waiting for this reporter to meet him for an interview, he sat in the newspaper lobby, furiously jotting down a tune which popped in his head. “I really like them to say something,” he said, handing over some of his songs for perusing.
Albaugh, who has had several jobs in the past from carpentry and stone masonry to energy conservation, recently decided to concentrate on his real passion—music.
“I have decided this is it. It is a lot of work, but I really epjoy the playback. It is nice to have somebody there to listen and to be recognized,” he said.
Albaugh said he owes the success of the band to several people.
“We have gotten so much support from Drum and Strum, Mikey and Esty at Pizza Inn, Blue Revoluion and RNB, Carol Culbertson. And Lenora, for the inspiration she has given me,” he said.
