Neil Burke
Neil Jacob Burke, 22, of Marshall, died Friday, May 1 in Fauquier County.
A graveside service was conducted Sunday , May 10 in the Washington Masonic Cemetery by the Rev. John Burke.
Mr. Burke was born July 3,1969, in Front Royal, the son of Abe and Becky Rector Burke of Washington. He was a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and was a senior, majoring in engineering, at George Mason University. He was a member of the Chester Gap Baptist Church.
Surviving with his parents are a brother, Nathan Burke of Front Royal and grandparents, Martha Gillespie of Front Royal, Ervin Burke of Orange, Dorothy Rector of Marshall and the late Lyle Rector.
Pallbearers were Rodney Grimsley, Jay Burke, Ronnie Atkins, Jonathan Watson, Graham Davis and Marley Hay.
Honorary pallbearers were Irvin Starks, Richie Dodson, Jason Grimsley, Ronnie Nicholson, Brendon Finnerty and Jonathan Andrews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chester Gap Baptist Church or to the Rappahannock County High School Athletic Department.
Arrangements were handled by the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.
