Dan Troup, vice president in charge of marketing, said National Fruit purchases (i()(),<XH) bushels of Virginia apples annually for their White House apple cider vinegar.

“Bandana vinegar is not limited to the Roanoke valley,” he said. “We service Food Lion Stores which sell our vinegar from Pennsylvania to Florida.”
Mr. Dunville said their largest sales increases have been in distilled white vinegar.
“Some pickling recipes recommend white1 vinegar,” he said, “plus, distilled white vinegar costs less than cider vinegar. ”
Mr. Dunville said people use cider vinegar, however, when flavor is important.

Winter class
in art planned
The Blue Ridge Arts Council Inc.’s winter art class will focus on “Mixed Media on Paper.” The class will be held on Thursdays, beginning Jan. 7 and ending Feb. 25.
Each class will run from 7-9 p.m. and be conducted in the home economics classroom at Warren County Middle School.
