RCES food drive

A Christmas food drive has been organized at the elementary ; school. Participation is voluntary. Families that receive the supplies ' will be anonymous.

Food and supplies will be collected from Dec. 2-18 in the lobby of the elementary school before and after school in drop off boxes. Please contact Mrs. Lamma at 987-8259 with any questions.

Book signing

The public is invited to attend a book signing and reception for author Christine Andreae at the Rappahannock County Library from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13. Ms. Andreae will speak about her mystery novel “Trail of Murder,” published in November by St. Martin’s Press. The book signing is sponsored by Cabin Fever Books.

Breakfast at WVFD

All ages, young and old alike are invited to come eat breakfast, visit and take a ride with Santa on a horse drawn sleigh or wagon from 7-11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Washington fire hall. The menu will include sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade biscuits, sau- . sage gravy, pancakes, French toast, hash browns, baked apples, cereal, hot chocolate, coffee and juice. Cost is $5 adults and $3 children • under 12. . ■ '
