Three traffic accidents during the past week in Rappahannock County left three persons slightly injured.
Sgt. G.A. Morris of the Virginia State Polic reported that Evelia Jimenez, 17, was injured in a one car accident on U.S. 522 near Chester Gap about 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.
According to a report filed by Troo|>er C.A. Moore, Miss Jimenez was a passenger in a 19K7 Ford van driven by Luis Castaneda, 21, of Reading, Pa. Mr. Castaneda lost control of the van on an icy mad about .4 miles south of Route (K>5 ami the vehicle went off the right side of the road and hit the embankment.
An estimated $2,000 damage was done to the van. No charges were filed.
At 8:50 that same morning another accident occurred on U.S. 522, this one .4 miles north of Route <>41. Donna M. Kestner, 28, of Amissville was northbound when she struck a deer with her 1992 Ford sedan, doing about $1,500 damage to the car. Laura Ann Kestner, 8, a passenger in the car, was injured.
No charges were filed by Troo|)er Moore.
