Breakfast with Santa
The Castleton Volunteer Fire and Rescue will sponsor a breakfast ; with Santa from 8 a.m.-12 noon on Sunday, Dec. 13. The breakfast will be all you can eat and will include bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, gravy and biscuits. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 children, under three free. Santa will have goodies for the children.
CGVFD selling trees
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Deparmtent will be selling locally grown white pine Christmas trees at U.S. 522 and Cariser Road. Cost is $18 for any size and they will be selling them until Christmas Eve. For directions or further information call 636-7273.
Santa to visit Shelter
Santa Claus will be visiting the Rappahannock Animal Shelter in Amissville 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. Come have your pets picture taken with Santa. $3 for instamatic photo. Children are also invited. For more information call 937-3283.
Tai Ji classes
Tai Ji (Tai Chi Chuan) is a Chinese movement art created for conditioning the body and relaxing the mind. As a martial art Tai Ji teaches the philosophy and body mechanics of yielding. This brief course of six months offers participants an introduction to Taoist principle, Chi Rung exercise and the basic Yang Short Form. There is no fee for the course and it is open to beginners as well as those with previous experience. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings beginning in January from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Workspace for Choreographers. For more information call Kathleen Maier at 636-3078.
Support group to meet

Christmas bazaar
The annual Culpeper Farmers’ Market Christmas Bazaar will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Floyd T. Binns School, Route 229 North in Culpeper.
The bazaar will offer a variety of beautiful Christmas decorations, wood items, needlework, jewelry, crochet items, art work, quilts and various other items.
In addition there will be a good selection of Christmas trees, swags, wreaths and poinsettias. Also fresh home baked goods including some sugar free, herb vinegars, fruit butters and jellies. Lunch will be available.
