Edna Burke
' Mrs. Edna J. Burke, 64, of Washington, died Thursday, Dec. 3 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. ' Mrs. Burke was bom in Sperryville Dec. 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Ellen Baker Jenkins. ;• She taught Sunday School at Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, the Rev. John K. Burke JiTi; two sons, John Wayne Burke of Front Royal and Donald Ray Burke of Castleton; two daughters, Judy Ann Alther and Janet K. Clatterbuck, both of Washington. She is also survived by four brothers, Alan Jenkins of Carlisle, Pa., Wayne Jenkins and Troy Jenkins, both of Sperry ville and Abbie Jenkins of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Lee of Flint Hill, Mrs. Ivy Racer of Washington and Mrs. Linda Dwyer of Sperryville and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 7 at Found and Sons Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. Vinton Williams and Evangelist D.M. Hardison officiating. Interment was in the Burke family cemetery in Washington.
Pallbearers were Jim Pruitt, Jerry Young, Ed Hawkins, Albert Payne, Ed Morgan, Nelson Pettit, Lacy Brooks and Clyde Woodard.
Honorary pallbearers were the men of the church.

Beulah Lawrence
Beulah Ford Lawrence, 81, of Amissville, died Thursday, Dec. 3 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mrs. Lawrence was born May 14, 1911 in Virginia and the widow of the late John R. Lawrence. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, William T. Pickett of Amissville and Henry Middlebrook of Front Royal; a daughter, Catherine Gallery of Amissville; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 7 at the Amissville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peter Weems officiating. Burial was
