Sheriff John Henry Woodwqrd reported that the county has been relatively quiet over tne last several weeks. He did report that Jose Alverez Hemandez-Martinez has been charged with destruction of private property and interference with the rights of a homeowner following an incident in the F. T. Valley.

He allegedly threw an object through a picture window in the house of Luther Jenkins, who lives on a right-of-way off Route 231. Sheriff Woodward said there was $1,300 damage to Mr. Jenkins’ house.

The Sheriff also reported that Mrs. Kathy Sue Bare, 36, of Castleton has been charged with possession of marijuana. The charge was filed after five small potted plants were discovered in her house, he said.

In other action Sheriff Woodward reported that Deputy Connie Compton will be returning to worjt on Friday, Dec. 11. She has been on administrative leave with pay since Nov. 2, he said.

“I put her on leave following -a formal complaint made to me about an incident at the high school,” Woodward said. “1 ordered her to seek counselling and she did so,” he added.
