On behalf of the Colonial Christmas Committee I would like to thank all those who made the seventh annual Colonial Christmas so successful.
A special thanks must go to the carolers and the tour guides who despite the most desperate weather conditions cheerfully braved 60 mile an hour winds on their appointed rounds, no slackers there! Lamplighter Roger Batchelder also faced the elements under most trying conditions.
The Ki Theatre’s Shepherds play, and its enormous supporting cast and crew outdid last year’s stellar performance. Your audiences loved it.
The tireless Colonial Dancers were a continuous delight, so popular in fact that it warranted a much appreciated unscheduled performance on Saturday. Thanks to the generous gestures of the audiences, as well as the prize donations of Dr. and Mrs. William Young and Mr. and Mrs. William Buntin, a small costume fund has been established.
We hope that there will be further additions to these funds to create the much needed repairs and additional costumes for a full complement of dancers.
Much appreciation also goes to David and Marcia Robinson, who provided the authentic British flair performing as the Troubadours for the sixth consecutive year, this year hosted by Phyllis Marriott. A wonderful addition to our celebration was John Larimore, a noted musical instrument maker, who demonstrated his craft in the log cabin.
