At last! Christmas morning has arrived. A brightly colored halo of sparkling light surrounds the beautifully decorated tree. Oh, there they are... the gifts... wrapped in colorful packages and tied with festive bows! The waiting and wondering is finally over. Now, where tfthat specialgitP. It's not under the tree! Perhaps we should search elsewhere. That special gift was not festively wrapped. In fact, the wrapping was that of swaddling clothes. Neither was the packaging ornate... just a manger in a stable. There was, however, a beauteous halo of light... surrounding the Holy Child. Yes, that special gift was Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As we worship in our chosen sanctuary this holiday season, may we thank the Heavenly Father for His specialgift, the gift of Jesus.
