She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville.
Survivors include two brothers, David P. Williams of The Plains and James Williams of Warrenton; an aunt, Elsie Tines of Rectortown and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Forrest Freeman officiating. Burial was in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Joynes Funeral Home in Warrenton was in charge of the arrangements.
Robert Pullen
Robert Lee Pullen, 72, of Flint Hill, died Saturday, Dec. 19 at his residence.
Mr. Pullen, a native of Sperryville, was the son of the late Bennie Oakley and Inez Virginia Menefee Pullen. He was a retired Avtex employee and a member of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Bertie Alice Menefee Pullen; a son, Robert L. Pullen Jr. of Flint Hill; two daughters, Shirley Ann Brown of Sperryville and Margie Southard of Flint Hill; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by a son, Carl William Pullen and a granddaughter.
A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 21 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Jimmy Burke and the Rev. Carl Menefee officiating. Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roger Rutherford, Jimmy Steward, Nelson Atkins Jr., Lynn Atkins, John Eubank, Harvey Clatterbuck, William Foster and Greg Smoot.
Active pallbearers were Bob McKay and E.J. Welch.
Honorary pallbearers were Todd Foster and Steve Foster.
