Boat user fees

President George Bush has signed legislation repealing the controversial federal recreational boat “user fee’ tax which was imposed on 4.1 million boat owners two years ago.
Under the terms of H.R. 2152, the boat “user fee” tax will be phased-out over two years. Effective immediately, all boats 21 feet and less no longer have to display the “user fee" decal.
