Installation of Virginia Beta Omicron Charter Members was held at the Holiday Inn Aberdeen Barn Restaurant in Culpeper, late last month.
Virginia Beta Omicron is a newly formed area chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority for women educators.
Alpha Delta Kappa was founded in 1947 by women who saw a need to recognize and support the professional efforts of outstanding women educators. Since its founding, more than 125,000 women educators around the world have discovered the many opportunites provided by membership.
The purposes of Alpha Delta Kappa are to recognize active outstanding educators, to promote high standards in education, to promote educational and charitable projects, and to contribute to world understanding, good will, and pea^e through an international fellowship of women educators united in She ideas of education.
