Sen. Charles S. Robb, on behalf of Virginia’s congressional delegation, has announced plans for Virginia’s military academy day 1993. This annual event offers the state’s students a chance to learn about educational opportunites in our nation’s military academies.
Virginia military academy day will be held March 20 at The Universtiy of Virginia, Charlottesville. The event is open to junior and senior high school students.
Robb, a former Marine, encouraged students to explore the possibility of a military education.
“Service in our nation’s military can be the most rewarding of all public service,” said Robb. “The challenges net in that arena provide the base for many fine careers in both the public and private sector.”
“Young people interested in continuing their education at one of ■ our nations’ military academies will have an opportunity to meet with representatives of our military academies and service branches,” said Robb.
Robb and the Virginia congressional delegation will make staff members available to outline the nomination procedures for potential nominees as well as their parents, teachers, counselors, and principals.

U.S. Rep. Frank R. Wolf (R-VA10) will sponsor a business and federal procurement conference on Friday, April 10, at Centreville High School to help area businesses find growth opportunities in partnership with the federal government.
