The Rappahannock News explained that the other animal, “Misty Dance," was a retired racehorse, living out his last years on the farm of his trainer.

Neither of these animals could possibly have been mistaken for game. Their shooting was the work of the same warped mentalities that are guilty of vandalism in our cities.

These crimes have no connection with hunting laws nor is there any suggestion that hunters were the culprits. Besides bringing needless grief to the animals’ owners, however, they involved firearms. Inci
