“What can I say about this horse? He is a most enjoyable ride,” beamed Wood after his four-length triumph. “I run out of superlatives to describe ... a perfect amateur’s horse.”
Wood compared his win to that of Cockburn. At the Casanova races, Thanks Henry upset Topeador in his timber debut. Cockburn has since opted for open competition to avoid heavy owner-rider weights.
