Dance at Amissville #
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a dance from 9 p.m.-l a.m. on March 20. Dixie Storm will play. Call Sheila Scott at 937-4357 for reservations. You must have identification.
A woman and her car
The Rappahannock County Extension homemakers will sponsor an educational program on "A Woman And Her Car” at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 15 at the Washington Fire Hall. Guest speaker will be Pete Jenkins of VDOT. All interested persons are invited to participate.
Fashion show planned
A fashion show entitled, “An American Heritage” sponsored by the Rappahannock Woman’s Club will be held at 2 p.ni. on Sunday, March 21. This year’s show will be at the Rappahannock High School.
Fashions will be shown by The First Years of Culpeper, Frank’s and Warren Quality Shop, both of Front Royal. *>
Proceeds will benefit the Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund and the Rappahannock Elementary School playground. Tickets are $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. For information or tickets cofttact any member.
RAA registration
Last opportunity to register for baseball and softball will be held at Stuarts Field for T-ball, minors, majors and 13-15 Babe Ruth and softball. There will also be registration at Pullen’s Field for T-ball, minors and majors. Registration at both fields will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, March 6.
Tryout and drafts will be held March 6 at Stuarts Field and Pull-' en’s Field starting at 12:30. Tryouts for 13-15 Babe Ruth division will be held only at Stuart’s Field at 12:30. Baseball clinic for players and coaches will be instructed by Mike Tupper March 21 at Stuart’s Field from 1-4 p.m. For additional information call 937-5975 or 937-4600.
Meeting and social
The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet and have a social from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 in the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church on Gay and Middle Streets in Washington. Cathy Murphy, a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Professional from the George Washington Home for Adults in Winchester will speak w ith the group. New club organizing
A new Extension Home makers club is organizing for Washington and vicinity. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 at the Extension Office. The program will be on The USDA Food Guide Pyramid and Pasta Cookery. All interested persons are invited to participate.
