Wilder, though, has proved in the past he is not one to be discouraged by those who say he hasn’t got a chance. Noting he has beaten the odds throughout his political career, he said the basic question was “whether I would w’ant to continue public service after almost a quarter century.”
The state GOP is hoping he will want to since the prospect of a bitterly waged battle between Wilder and Robb has got to be music to its ears.
