The Virginia State Police Reported three accidents over the jMf week in Rappahannock County.
On March 23 just after midnight Dorian A. Taylor, 20, of Orangej was injured when he lost control of the stolen car he was driving. According to a report filed Trooper G.C. Little Jr., Mir Taylor was eastboUnd on U.'S. 211 near the base of Thornton Gap when he lt£l control of a 1987 Dodge hatchback. The car went off the right side of the road, hit a guard rail, went down an embankment, overturned twice and then hit a tree. Mr. Taylor was being chased by a deputy sheriff' from Page County at the time.
A spokesman for the Page County Sheriffs Department said Tuesday afternoon that Mr. Taylor has been charged with failure to sj,pp for a police officer and is being held in the Page County jail awaiting felony warrants for auto theft.
On March 21 about noon William B. Dodson, 24, of Manassas, }pst control while driving a 1987 Toyota pickup truck south on Route 642 near Viewtown. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned twice according to a report filed by 'fe-ooper S.M. Kniek.
Mr. Dodson was charged with driving while under the influence. A passenger, Jingle W. Gonzales, .'18, was injured in the accident.
Trooper Knick also reported that an accident occurred on U.S. 2llJat the intersection with 636, which leads to the elementary school,Aat 3:10 on Thursday, March 18. r
Mrs. Layne S. Vickers, 30, ' of Luray was turning onto the highway in a 1986 Plymouth when she collided with a 1988 Buick driven ,,^y Mrs. Virginia G. Lindstrom, 88, of Washington. Trooper Knick, who investigated the accident, estimated the damage to the Plymouth at $500 and at $3,000 to the Buick.
Mrs. Vickers was charged with failure to yield the right of way. There were no injuries in the amdent.
