Ronald Portman

Ronald Portman of Little Falls, N.Y. died Monday, March 8. He was 89.

Mr-. Portman, a musician, singer and teacher, is survived by one son, Barry and two daughters, Mary Jo and Julie of Washington, Va.

His wife, Catherine Malone, died in 1990.

Through her sketches “Katie Malone” and “How Dad Created the World” Ms. Portman has introduced her father to many within this community.

Kedrick Roberts

Kedrick Brown Roberts of Richmond and formerly of Rappahannock County died March 20.

He is survied by three sisters Madames Ora Barbour of Washington, Cora R. Davis of Washington D.C. and Lillie R. Worrell of Bronx N.Y.; five nieces Joan R. Bailey, Charlottee Freeman, Divane Pittman,

Marlene Worrell and Althea Williams; five nephews John M. and Theodus Barbour, John D. and Gregory D. Davis and Clarence Worrell and two god children Dexter B. Freeman and Margarite Me Williams.

Also a devoted friend Mrs. Dorothy P. Hicks.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Second Baptist Chruch with Dr. James Harris, pastor officating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery,

Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. in Richmond handled the arrangements.
