The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will hold a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on April 3 with the band Heavy Dreamer. You must be 21 to attend and have proper identification. For reservations call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
Perennial plant sale
The kickoff for the perennial plant sale was March 15. Order forms may be picked up at the Rappahannock Elementary School, Child Care and Learning Center and Mountainside Market. They should be returned to the school by March 31. Pickup for the plants will be May 1 at the Rappahannock High School.
Auction at AVFD
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding an auction at 6 p.m. on March 27. To donate items or to have them picked up call 937-5125 or Paul Poling at 937-5205.
A woman and her car
The Rappahannock County Extension homemakers will sponsor an educational program on “A Woman And Her Car” at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 29 at the Washington Fire Hall. Guest speaker will be Pete Jenkins of VDOT. All interested persons are invited to participate.
