“Rappahannock County is one of four counties in Virginia selected to participate in a pesticide disposal program in late summer of 1993,” according to Scott Cunningham, Extension Agent in Rappahannock County.
Mr. Cunningham said that the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services selected Rappahannock County from a group of counties who responded to the 1991 farmer pesticide waste survey. The other counties selected for cleanup are Warren, Southhampton and Suffolk.
