Sid Gottlieb, who represents the Board of Zoning Appeals on the Planning Commission made the motion that the planners recommend approval of the application with a review at the end of three years, saying, “The more stuff we can keep out of the landfill, the better.”
The vote for approval was unanimous.
Loans for crops
now available
Price support loans are available through the local ASCS office on 1992 wheat, oats, rye and barley through March 31. Loans on com, sorghum and soybeans are available through May 31.
Farmers can use these price support loans to obtain interim operating capital or hold their grain for future delivery. The loans have a nine month maturity date with variable monthly interest rates.
To be eligible for price support loans and other farm program benefits, producers must participate in acreage reduction programs. The 1993 program opened on March 1 and will end on April 30.
