To Fight REC Line

When foes of the proposed new Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) transmission line gathered in the library meeting room last Saturday, they decided to continue with the letter-writing campaign but also try to seek more publicity for their cause.
They expressed frustration that the federal government continues to subsidize rural cooperatives when private utility companies could provide more reliable. less expensive electricity.
