“I thought our pre-game mental preparation was horrible,” Coach Gary Leake said. “They came in flat and possibly over confident after the victory over Luray.” He said the Rappahannock squad got behind 9 to 2 in the first quarter and never recovered. “We played without emotion and without enthusiasm the entire night,” he said.
Then he added, “There was a complete turnaround for Clark County Thursday night.” Although the result was a similar 44 to 35 loss, the team played a much better game, he said.
