At the meet Saturday some of the runners were suffering from colds. Holley Gangel was not able to finish the course. Mike Grimsley ran 17th, winning honors for being in the top 20, Jason ran 22nd, and Mark ran 56th.
Coach David van de Graaff believes the experience the team is gaining from competing with many larger schools will be beneficial when the runners face competition in the district tournament later this month. This Wednesday the cross country team travels to George Mason for a meet with George Mason and Clarke County. Next week the team will host a meet with Page County and George Mason on Wednesday.
