pervisors suggested he meet with the Planning Commission to discuss the proposed ordinance.

Sheriff Woodward also suggested the supervisors consider amending the Zoning Ordinance to set standards for issuing permits for field parties where fees are collected.

He said surrounding counties were limiting such parties, and as a result people are coming into Rappahannock County for them. He said he had trouble ending one Saturday night that did not have a permit and had to seek help from sheriffs departments in surrounding counties and the State Police.

The supervisors also received a request from Suzanne Perka, an attorney from the Leesburg office of law the law firm Hazel and Thomas. Ms. Perka said she was representing Dale Welch and John Harrison Powers. She asked the supervisors to reconsider their action last month banning the land application of sludge.

Mr. McCarthy explained that to change that decision the board would have to begin all over again
