Albert Williams
Albert Stanley Williams, 86, of Chester Gap died Wednesday, Sept. 29 at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
The funeral was conducted Friday, Oct. 1 at the Chester Gap Baptist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Burke.
Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was bom Aug. 3, 1907, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Walter Henry and Rose Smith Williams.
He was a retired carpenter and for a number of years was owner and operator of Williams Grocery' Store.
He attended Chester Gap Baptist Church and was a member of the Men's Bible Class.
He was an honorary member of Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department.
He was the husband of the late Iva Ritenour Williams.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha North Williams; two sons, Maynard Willians and Melvin Williams, both of Front Royal; four daughters, Mareelle McNeill and Estelle Sibert, both of Front Royal, Rosa Belle Burnette of Annandale and Maybelle Gilkey of Chester Gap.
