The Planning Commission approved the final site plans submitted by the Faith Mountain Company for their expansion onto an additional 10 acres.
At last Wednesday’s meeting the planners also recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve amendments to the zoning ordinance to cover “field parties” and recommended that the Board of Zoning Appeals approve an application for a family apartment.
In August the Board of Supervisors approved rezoning the 10 acres from Agricultural to General Commercial for the Faith Mountain Company. The rezoning included certain conditions including Planning Commission approval of the final site plan.
Following the rezoning Cheri and Martin Woodward owners of the company applied to the Health Department for approval of the site for the septic tank and drainfield. Because of soil types, they had to plan a different location for the drainfield, and that changed the location for the new building and parking lot. The building, when it is built, will be located farther back on the lot.
