The United Methodist Women met on Monday evening for their annual Christmas meeting at the home of Louise McCulloch.

Those present were Merlin and Joy Shorb, Shelby Welch, Marg Eastham, Alice Pullen, Candy Lamma, Artis East, Evelyn Walker, Barbara Gentry, Gaynelle Russell, Mary Bywaters, Athina Bywater, Arland Welch, Thelma Crane and Libby Wharton.

< The following offices and busi' nesses will be closed in observance of Christmas:

The Health Department, Social Services and all county offices will be closed on Dec. 23 and 24.

Family Guidance will close at noon on Dec. 22 and are closed Dec. 23 and 24. Rappahannock National Bank and F & M Bank will close at 12 noon on Dec. 24.

The Rappahannock Library will * be closed Dec. 23,24 and 25. * All area post offices will close at 12 noon on Dec. 24 and be closed on ; Dec. 25.

Rappahannock County Public » Schools will close at 2 p.m. on Thurs!! day, Dec. 23 and will resume Jan. 3, * 1994, however the central office and the offices at both schools will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 28 and 29.
