At an open meeting of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection's Hoard of Directors, Robert Dennis reported that matters relating to the planned Disney America theme park in western Prince William County are at something of a standstill waiting to see what exactly the Disney Company proposes.
Mr. Dennis, who is the president of the. Piedmont Environmental Council, said. "We don't anticipate anything detailed until January. We believe Disney will try to push some state funding through the General Assembly. The issue is do we let them do pig-in-a-poke financing?"
He said PEC is receiving lots of response to its campaign. He said he was in Richmond last week taping a television show in which he was tiebating a representative from the state’s tourism department.
