Full funding for libraries is not part of Governor Douglas Wilder’s state budget. The Rappahannock County Library stands to lose $9,423.

Full funding for the Rappahannock County Library would be $25,570 for the 1994-95 year, not the proposed $16,147.

The Rappahannock County Library hopes to be well represented at one of the State Budget Hearing meetings. The meeting that is nearby this year is in Sterling at 10 a.m. on Dec. 29 at the Park View High School.

Members of the Senate Finance Committee and the House Appropriation Committee will listen to any citizen’s comments about funding.
