Mr. Dennis added "on a more positive note" several properties in the area of Red Oak Mountain have been accepted "in principal" for scenic easement by the Virginia Outdoors Foundation.
He said that VOF sent a registered letter to the Rappahannock Electric Co-operative noting that they would consider these properties for scenic easement, and PEC did not respond, so they moved ahead with the easements.
“One of the most important features will now have protection if the owners follow through," he said.
