4-H Camp for Colverbuds
Youth can develop an appreciation for an and understanding of others through an international theme indoor camp experience Jan. 28-30. Participants will attend classes in foods, crafts, music, and recreation, planned around this theme. Other special events, including an indoor campfire, will highlight the weekend and carry out the theme. The cost of the weekend is $47.
Adult and teen volunteers are being recruited and may attend the weekend at a reduced rate. Applications are available from your local extension office now, and need to be completed and received by the Northern District 4-H Center by Jan. 1, 1994. Parents may participate with the child in this event, but do need to register in advance.

CSC Will Not Operate
CSC Transit will not operate on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Dec. 29, 30 and 31 in observance of New Year’s. CSC Transit is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board. CSC Transit serves the general public as well as clients of the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Board in the five counties of Planning District 9.
Red Cross Offers Courses
The Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering a Community First Aid Course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22. The course will cover rescue breathing, CPR, and how to clear an airway for infants, children, and adults. Preparing and responding to emergencies will also be covered. Cost of the course is $25.
On Jan. 6 the Chapter, will hold an Introduction to Disaster Services from 7-10 p.m. The purpose of this course is to provide basic information about disaster and its effects, and to outline the role of both government and non-government agencies in disaster relief.

Old Dominion Christmas Meet
The public is invited to watch the Old Dominion Hounds Christmas Meet. Horse riders and hounds w'ill leave from the Flint Hill Packing House parking lot at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26. For further information call Dudley Semmes at 635-2653.
Community Calendars Available
The Rappahannock County Community Calendars produced by the Washington Volunteer Fire Department are available for purchase. The calendars contain many community organization’s activities and the school dates for the upcoming school year, as well as numerous birthdays and anniversaries. Calendars can be purchased for $3.50 for one or $5 for two. A special thank you to all the local businesses who bought ads for the calendar. Bereavement Group To Meet
