December has been a busy time for the Rappahannock County Garden Club. Early in the month the club held its Greens Workshop when each member contributed two days of her time to help make wreaths, garlands, and swags to fill orders which came from people in the area. The sale of these this year brought in over $2300 which will be used to send two Rappahannock County students to Nature Camp this summer. The fresh greens used in the workshop are contributed by many residents in the community who have no connection with Garden Club but who wish to help with this

The Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society is selling their new Dining Out ’94 coupon book, which offers discounts at fine area restaurants while raising funds for cancer research.
Flint Hill Public House, The Asby Inn, Napoleon’s, The Bavarian Chef, Aberdeen Barn, and WillowGrove Inn are among the 20 area . restaurants participating in Dining Our ’94. For a $30 donation to the American Cancer Society, participants receive a book of “two for the « price of one” coupons at restaurants
