“Most of these youngster^ started tennis this summer at the rec center when we started clinics with Hunt Harris,” she said. She noted that the Kerr youngsters have experience competing in Fauquier County as have Laura McNear anjl Carlos Avelar.
“The kids were enthusiastic. They were great sports,” she said. She added there are six or more youngsters who also want to compete who couldn’t take part on the particular weekend of the competition. “We have at least two dozen players," she said. “We really warjt to have a tennis team in the county and at the high school. This is to exhibit interest.” She said that other players who are interested could call her at 675-3670. i
