August 28 not only means the beginning of a new school year and administration but the addition of many new classes as well.
Courses were added for two main reasons: a need for more difficult classes which would better prepare students for college, and the state also requested that more classes be added to the business department.
Civics was brought back. The course, which was previously offered many years ago, encourages students to become active members of society.
