“Meet the Candidates Forum” will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Aug. 15 at the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue building on U.S. 211 for the benefit of Rappahannock County residents.
The event is being sponsored by the Fire and Rescue Company. According to president Jack Atkins, as of Monday evening, Aug. 7 the following had accepted invitations to participate:
Delegate Jay Katzen (R-31) and challenger Sue Scheer; Jackson District Supervisor Ellis Bingham and challenger Ron Frazier; Jack District School Board candidates Ron Makela and Richard Wood; Sheriff John H. Woodard and Gary Settle, candidate for sheriff.
