The members of the Board of Supervisors ran out of patience with Bell Atlantic and the company’s refusal to connect its Rappahannock County customers to the county’s Enhanced 911 service.

“1 personally don't care what the corporate policy is,” Jackson District representative Ellis Bingham said. “The communication system is there to serve the citizens who paid for it. We should send a strong letter to the State Corporation Commission saying what we want and asking if we don’t get it, what steps are available to us to switch to another commmunications firm."
